In-House Support

At Young Leaders Youth Services, our In-House Support Services are designed to provide personalised and hands-on assistance to families who have children and young people supported through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We understand that navigating the NDIS and meeting a child’s diverse and often complex needs can be overwhelming at times — which is why our approach is grounded in compassion, flexibility, and collaboration.

Our goal is to ease the pressures families face by offering tailored, in-home support that is both meaningful and effective, all within the comfort and familiarity of the family’s own environment.

Key Aspects of In-House Support for Families with NDIS Participants:

Personalised Care and Individualised Plans

Tailored Support Plans: We work closely with families to develop individualized care plans based on the child’s unique needs and goals. These plans address the child’s developmental milestones, behaviours, therapy needs, and personal interests.

NDIS Coordination: We assist families in understanding and managing their NDIS plans, helping with plan reviews, budgeting, and making sure the right services and supports are being accessed.

Skill Development and Educational Support

Learning Support: In-house educational support helps children stay on track with their learning goals, whether it’s assisting with schoolwork, preparing for assessments, or enhancing learning strategies.

Social and Life Skills Training: We offer structured programs that promote the development of social skills, emotional regulation, and daily living skills, supporting children to gain independence and confidence.

Support for School Integration: We work closely with schools to ensure the child is receiving the necessary support and provide recommendations for school adjustments or accommodations if needed.

Emotional and Social Support

Family Support:

We provide guidance and support for parents, helping them manage the challenges of raising a child with a disability. This can include advice on managing stress, advocacy, and accessing other support services.
